A Fine Example
Today was a perfect example. I woke this morning determined that I would spend it working on the desk. Nicky got up to Emily so I had an extra half hour sleep and was raring to go. That lasted till I got to the lounge. Nicky went straight back to bed and I spent the next two hours with Emily. Once she went down for her nap it was a load of washing on, setup work area, get out materials, hang out washing. And hey, Emily is now awake again. Two hours later Nicky got up, and took over Emily. I got one board cut before lunch, and one after. Then Nicky was off to work, Emily was up again and my schedule was falling behind. I finally got a bit more done just before dark. So the plan to get the desk mostly done became a half assed attempt, once more pushed back another day. Oh well. I do love the two of them to distraction, but I could wish one slept more and the other slept less.

Project Completion
I am busy trying to clear the decks of all my outstanding little projects. So, I have the laundry to finish up, Darren\'s desk, the swan rocker and the cupboard in the kitchen. Then I can start a couple of new things I am working on. The laundry just needs a plug for the light then it is done. The swan rocker needs several more coats of paint and the cupboard needs the doors fitted and a drawer built. That leaves the desk as the largest job to finish up, so hopefully I can get it done tomorrow. The trouble is that Emily needs my time just about all day. When she is sleeping is my house work time because Nicky sleeps so much when she is doing afternoon shifts that if I don\'t do it it doesn\'t get done.

Issues with Emily
Emily is an absolute delight, so friendly and alert and active. The trouble may be that she is too active. She is below the third centile for weight. At nearly nine moths old, she has only just hit the 6kg mark, but she sits in the middle centile for height. Quite how two large adults made such a petite wee thing is a mystery to me. Be that as it may though, the issue lies with her weight, which is now worrying the health professionals. . Subsequently Emily, at the tender age of eight months is now on a high fat diet. We are encouraged to feed her biscuits slathered with peanut butter and hazelnut spreads, offer her meats cooked in lard and cheese sticks and any other fatty foods we can think of to boost her weight. Hopefully this works and she puts on weight.
